What the Children Wore // Mini Medley

A few weeks ago, lovely Leigha from Mini Medley got in touch and asked me whether we’d be interested in featuring some of her beautiful clothes on What the Children Wore. I love dressing the children in bright, bold clothes – so my answer was very obviously yes!

Leigha is based in a small village in Sussex, and hand-makes all of her garments. She started Mini Medley after wanting to create clothes that were a little bit different for her own children. Mini Medley doesn’t have a designated girls or boys section on their website; the clothes are for kids to be kids in… which is an ethos I completely admire.

H-Bear and Busby were sent a short dungaree romper each – and we have received SO many compliments about how gorgeous they are.

Busby was sent dungarees in the Fruit Salad print (£22). The print is so vibrant and retro – with serious 80s vibes! It’s so comfortable for playing in – and such fun!

The dungaree romper is made from 100% cotton, and has been absolutely ideal during the recent heatwave (and the latter part of this half term week).

The dungarees are fastened with poppers at the top, which are easy to undo – encouraging independence with dressing and going to the toilet.

I love the contrasting yellow lining and leg trim. They pull the garment together beautifully.

Busby wears age 4-5, which fits perfectly with a little room to grow.

H-Bear was sent a pair of the Jungle Animal print short dungarees (£22).

Once again, this print is vibrant and fun – and perfect for my wild little bear. I love how the animals are hiding in the jungle leaves – it’s so playful! There are lots of colours in the print to coordinate t-shirts etc with too.

The dungarees are made from 95% cotton and 5% lycra, making them ideal for running, jumping and exploring in!

As with Busby’s, H-Bear’s dungarees are fastened with poppers.

H-Bear wears size 2-3 years, which fits wonderfully!

Leigha is incredibly talented and makes the most wonderful children’s clothes. She is constantly updating her fabric, and her Facebook page always brings joy to my day! Check out the Mini Medley website for an array of gorgeously coloured childrenswear.

I particularly like Busby’s – and the shoulders fastening poppers are great. We had a toilet incident with a jumpsuit this week *sigh*
