This month has been developmentally amazing, with Indy now trying to pull himself up on anything and everything! Eek! He’s been trying to crawl too, but mostly slides himself backwards… It’s looking possible that he might just give up on the crawling and go straight to walking instead – so fun times ahead! My baby bear is six months old?!
The most notable achievement from this month is that Indy can now sit up unsupported! He’s been trying to sit for ages, as he hates lying down so much due to his reflux, but now there’s no stopping him. It’s made life a lot easier, as I can plonk him down on the floor with some toys while I get on with life admin. Busby is also finding Indy a lot more interesting now he can sit up – and has been keen to “keep an eye on him” while I nip upstairs or grab something from another room. [Read more…]
I can’t quite believe I’m writing this… but Indy is now 5 months old!
The big news this month is that we’ve finally got his reflux and Cow’s Milk Protein Allergy (CMPA) under control. He’s getting very close to sitting up unsupported and has times where he sits, only holding my fingers for support. I can’t wait until he is sitting by himself; I remember things got easier when Busby could do this… well, until she began to move! [Read more…]
This month Indy is absolutely desperate to sit up by himself. Obviously he’s nowhere near ready for this yet, but he still tries to pull himself up when he’s lying on the changing mat! He loves to watch the world, propped up with cushions or on one of our laps, and enjoys charming everyone with his smile.
The sleeping situation still isn’t ideal – especially during the day! He doesn’t like missing out on anything, so he stays awake, much to my dismay. We are now working with a lovely sleep consultant and he’s definitely sleeping better at night… and sleeping in the crib! [Read more…]
