The weather might be having other ideas at the moment, but (calendar-wise) we’re approaching the brink of summer. And I love summer! Coats and other layers can be shunned, so getting out of the house with two children is marginally easier. Ice creams are plentiful, so bribing children to leave the house is once again marginally easier. And everyone is much happier when the sun shines and the air is warm – children included! If you read this blog regularly, or follow me on any form of social media, then you will know how much I love yellow.
I mean, it’s bordering on an obsessional love.
So when I was offered a coat from Lighthouse, I couldn’t resist their yellow raincoats! Sadly the Lana hooded mac was out of stock, so I chose the Beachcomber in yellow instead, and it’s beautiful.
The Beachcomber in sunbeam is such a divine shade of yellow! It also comes in shades: watermelon and french navy. It looks fab with a pair of jeans, and the Haven sweater top I was sent to go with it. [Read more…]
It’s rare that I get offered something to review for myself on the blog, so when the lovely folk at Get the Label contacted me and asked whether I’d like to choose something for Nick and myself I was a tad excited.
Have you heard of Get the Label before? I hadn’t, so I was pleasantly surprised by their website which is full to the brim with designer clothes at discounted prices. They stock everyone from Converse to Toms, and I had lots of fun perusing their website.
I fell in love with these amazing shoes from Kickers in the Women’s Footwear section. I couldn’t resist!
After a week of glorious sunshine on Lake Como I’ve struggled to adjust to the tempestuous British weather, and I have a sneaky suspicion that the weather might be teasing us at the moment… But nevertheless, we can still dream that our summer might be more than the 2-3 days of hot weather we encountered last weekend, and therefore I have created a summer style wish list for the warmer days that may or may not occur in the coming months (I’m going back to Italy if they don’t!).
I love this outfit combo. As regular readers will know, I’m a huge fan of yellow, so I’m glad to see so much yellow for sale again this year!:
1. Yellow cardigan (£14). I’m a big fan of cardigans, as one of my body hang-ups is my arms, so I get a little warm in summer with my stubbornness about not exposing the world to them (ridiculous I know). I love this short cardigan as it covers the part of me I don’t want on show, and will go with lots of things in my wardrobe! [Read more…]
Just before Christmas, the lovely Vicki of Bo&Bel got in touch and asked whether I’d be interested in choosing one of her gorgeous teething necklaces from her very beautiful range.
After feeling like she’d lost her sense of style a bit since becoming a Mama, Vicki launched Bo&Bel back in October 2014; a beautiful and modern range of teething necklaces, designed by herself, to enable fellow mums to wear jewellery again – in a way that is safe and practical, but that doesn’t mean personality or style is compromised!
I chose the wonderful Katie necklace, which I am completely in love with, and honestly wear almost every day (just check out my Instagram feed – it’s been featured A LOT)!
The necklace is made from 100% food grade silicone, is BPA, PVC’s, phthalates and lead free, and is super easy to clean with just soap and water. [Read more…]
