Review // Jamie’s Italian, York – The Super Lunch Menu

Jamie’s Italian is one of our favourite places to eat out as a family; the food quality is always fantastic, and they cater marvellously for children. However, since moving to Yorkshire we’ve not had the opportunity to visit a local Jamie’s (we very conveniently lived a short bus ride away from the Brighton restaurant), so I was over the moon to be asked to review the York branch, and we excitedly headed there for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday! Review // Ox Pasture Hall Hotel, North Yorkshire

Last Saturday, we were very kindly invited along to Strada in York to sample their brand new children’s menu… and for us grown-ups to have a munch too! Nick and I have a long history with Strada, as it’s where we used to secretly dine together in Brighton when we weren’t officially a couple, and it was the scene of our first date (plus numerous consequent dates!) so we were very keen to visit as we haven’t eaten at Strada since the children have appeared.

Review // Garden Kitchen Restaurant, Wyevale Garden Centre, Kingston (Lewes, Sussex)

The Garden Kitchen Restaurant is a freshly launched restaurant in one of our previous favourite weekend haunts – Wyevale Garden Centre, in our old home town of Lewes. The newly refurbished restaurant caters for every need – from a quick coffee stop to a wholesome family meal, created using some of the freshest garden and British-sourced ingredients, and last Saturday Team Make, Do and Push! were invited along to sample their menu. We were greeted by Mandy, the Assistant Manager,  ...
