Following on from parts one and two: A couple of weeks ago we were invited to stay in Hampshire by the lovely folk at Hampshire’s Top Attractions. Our last day in Hampshire was HOT! We were all quite tired by this point, after a few late nights and long, exciting days full of adventures.
A couple of weeks ago we were invited to stay in Hampshire by the lovely folk at Hampshire’s Top Attractions. I’ve visited Hampshire quite a few times, but it was a first for Nick and the kids, and I couldn’t wait to show them the New Forest and everything this beautiful county has to offer!
Our journey from Yorkshire didn’t actually take as long as I thought it might – and we stopped off at National Trust Charlecote Park (Warwickshire) en route for a sandwich, an ice cream and a run around before getting back in the car to our final destination.
Hampshire’s Top Attractions had put us up in the Hilton Ageas Bowl for three nights and it was GORGEOUS! We were in a Queen Deluxe Room, which had it’s own balcony over the cricket pitch. [Read more…]
Nick and I have been itching to take the children to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway ever since we relocated up here in 2014, but always end up with very jam-packed weekends (such is life with children!). As H-Bear is train mad, we decided to take him for his birthday a couple of weeks ago – and we had the BEST time!
We parked at Pickering station, which is absolutely beautiful (parking was £5 for the day). The station is full of wonderful exhibitions, a shop, a café, and even a picnic area – which is where we had our lunch as we’d missed the train by about 3 minutes! [Read more…]
The Lake District is our happy place as a family. To be surrounded by mountains, woods and so much greenery 24/7 is the dream – and one day, way in the future, we hope to move there.
Those of you who follow me on Instagram and/or Facebook, will know that we’ve just been to the Lakes on holiday. We stayed for a week in Pullwood Bay on Lake Windermere, to celebrate my Father-in-Law’s birthday.

The summer holidays are a great time, but also an incredibly busy one. The kids are off school, the days are getting longer, and the weather warmer. At this time of year, there is only one thing on everyone’s minds – a holiday!
