The Lake District is our happy place as a family. To be surrounded by mountains, woods and so much greenery 24/7 is the dream – and one day, way in the future, we hope to move there. The summer holidays are a great time, but also an incredibly busy one. The kids are off school, the days are getting longer, and the weather warmer. At this time of year, there is only one thing on everyone’s minds – a holiday! The annual family holiday is a big event in most households. A time for relaxing (well, sort of!), enjoyment and spending time together as a family; these are moments that will be treasured for many years to come.
Busby is the master of manipulation when it comes to twisting Nick around her little finger – and the end goal is generally ice cream or chocolate cake…! It begins with mobilising the puppy dog eyes; those are usually enough. But if that fails (rarely), then a sweet, polite “Please Daddy” will do the trick.
