Hill Top Farm (Beatrix Potter’s Abode)

Following on from yesterday’s post about our journey to Hill Top Farm… here is Hill Top Farm! Beatrix Potter left Hill Top Farm to the National Trust in her will, and directed exactly how she wanted everything to be displayed in her house; from books left open on precise pages to show where she found her inspiration within the house, to paintings and illustrations by other family members. Our journey to Hill Top Farm

Beatrix Potter is one of my favourite writers of all time. My childhood memories are peppered with her stories and unique illustrations. I have wanted to visit Beatrix Potter’s house “Hill Top Farm” for a number of years now, but our last visit to the Lake District was rather short, so we never found the time.
