The Postman knocked on my front door on Friday with his usual, slightly amused “you’ve got another package” look on his face. (I have an eBay addiction.) He handed me the large brown parcel, which was adorned with cupcakes and had my Twitter name on. (I am half expecting him to find me on Twitter now!) I was in the middle of feeding Busby so had resume feeding once I got back upstairs, but I sat on the bed, staring at the exciting surprise package, urging Busby to guzzle and fall asleep! Finally she was sated, so I reached over my sleeping baby and began opening my mystery parcel.

Once unwrapped I was presented with a spotty bag containing two beautifully wrapped presents, a cute pink elephant, a big bar of chocolate and some hot chocolate! I had an inkling of whom this might be from after seeing the cupcakes, but the hot chocolate was a giveaway!

I opened the two wrapped presents to find a beautiful yellow baby blanket for Busby, and a make-up bag of skincare goodies for me. What a lovely surprise!

I quickly tweeted CupcakeMumma11, aka Hannah, saying thank you. After such a stressful week she had really cheered me up; I love receiving post, especially surprise post! She’d also written me a lovely letter that put a huge smile on my face.
So thank you again Hannah – your monthly surprise gift idea has certainly had its desired effect!
