And we’ve got our bedroom back…

Busby napping in her cot yesterday afternoon

Last night was the first night that Busby slept in her own room, in her big cot (no more head-banging on the top of the moses basket!). I might have sobbed slightly when handing her over to Nick for her last feed before bed… My little baby is no longer the small newborn I once knew, and it breaks my heart. Soon she’ll be eating real food, then she’ll be talking (she’s already mastered “buh” and “oorgh”) and then, before we know it, she’ll be walking down the aisle and starting a family of her own! I feel nostalgic for the 5am feeds and milky cuddles, her tiny squidged up body and face, and the hours lost just staring at her, marvelling her in awe, whilst she slept in my arms. Why does it go so quickly? How can one change so much in 17 weeks? Why do I feel like I’m saying goodbye to my little baby, even though she’s only moving into the next room?

Busby slept amazingly well last night – 8pm until 6.30am this morning – I’m so so proud of her; I think she was thankful for the space! And the magic moment? Opening her bedroom door and being greeted by her big grin whilst she chatted away in her cot.

I’m linking up with Magic Moments over at The Oliver’s Madhouse

Lovely post, those days seem far off, but I look back with great fondness to the Tiny Love Mobile going off in the middle of the night.

Glad the first night went well – what’s the secret of sleeping through? My little one still wakes 3 or 4 times 🙁

I have no idea I’m afraid – Bea has always been pretty good at night *worst thing you can say to a fellow parent* Do you own Ewan the Dream Sheep? He has always been the soft pink light at the end of the tunnel when we’ve needed him xx

Look at her in that big cot. So cute. I don’t want to move mine to his own room just yet. Because he’s our last baby, I want to have him near me for just a little bit longer.

    • 24th April 2013 / 8:20 am

Oh bless 🙁 Keep him snuggled close 🙂 xx

Such a great magic moment. Our lad is with us, and he was mental last night, so I am looking forward to him ‘moving out’ but I know I will be a bit funny about it when it happens

It’s a shock – she’s been in her own room for 5 nights now and I still wake up wondering where she is! I think my OH has found it easier than I have 🙂 xx
