My life changed about three weeks ago, when I entered H&M on Oxford Street and came across these trousers.
I was in London attending the Vintage Cosmetic Company’s Press Day and, after lunch with a friend, thought I may as well have a look around the shops as was baby-free. Manoeuvring a pram through the aisles of clothes shops is a nightmare; kudos to parents with twins – I don’t know how you do it! Mad skills.
Anyway I digress, I came across these trousers on one of the many floors, and decided to try them on. Pre-Busby you would never ever see me in trousers. Trousers were the devil. They didn’t suit me and my chunky thighs, so dresses were the way forward. But since having Busby, my hips have increased in size and my thighs have slimmed down, so am finding that wearing trousers actually suits me – and I’m a lot more comfortable wearing them. Anyway, back to the magical trousers: as soon as I tried them on I knew I had to have them. They looked AWESOME and they made me feel AWESOME! Not only awesome, but trendy, cool, funky (good funky), and most importantly, YUMMY!
So yes, the quest continues, but these trousers are seriously helping me get back in the yummy-game!
Hannah
It’s great when you emerge from the mummy haze and start to become a independant woman again. Took me a while. Didn’t really get back into clothes/fashion until my son started school.
It really does feel good! From day 1 (well, maybe 14) I’ve vowed to get out of my pjs every day and at least put some clothes on… I think this is the next step up 🙂 xx
They are very cool trousers, hope you’re out and about in them a lot now 🙂 I remember when my jeans finally went up past my thighs I was SO happy!!
Oh I am! I have a couple of pairs of trousers now that I love 🙂 Past your thighs? 😉 xx

Love the fact that your magic moment is just for you and feeling more yourself again – it’s easy once you become a Mum to be always looking for the magic in your kids and forget that you are a person in your own right as well. And great trousers! H&M is my shop, love it.
