The Week That Was: Instagrammed #7

Hello! Hello! And welcome back to The Week That Was: Instagrammed. Have you had a fabulous week? Thank you to all of you who linked up last week!

I hope you all manage to link up again and that we have some more lovely new bloggers. As always, I love reading everyone’s blogs – new and old – so please do come and say hi and spread the blog love around!

The rules are simple: link up a photo post from the week, Instagrammed or not. You can use the same format as below, or you can do your own thing. You can even link up photo posts about one day or one event – they don’t have to be about the whole week.

So my week…
This week has been a rather poorly one for me (boo) but I had a rather exciting day on Friday, as you will read below!

Blog post: The Week That Was: Instagrammed #6
We had a lovely day on Sunday. The sun came out in the afternoon and we headed to the lovely Becky’s (@wardrobee) house for her son’s naming party. Busby chatted away to the other babies, and Nick and I had a cheeky alcoholic beverage or two!

Nick’s parents had Busby for the afternoon on Monday, so I sat down in my crafting corner with my sewing machine and ate some cake, and made myself something handy!

Bubsy’s lovely Maxomorra romper arrived from KyNa Boutique as well; it’s gorgeous!!

After a dozy, relaxed morning we headed to Nymans with the grandparents! We had a lovely wander and then a scrummy cream tea at the end, where Busby stole half a plain scone from my hand and ate it! Cheeky monkey!

On Wednesday I was tasked with finding a well-fitting strapless bra for wedding dress shopping, so Busby and I headed into Brighton. My darling daughter was not in a good mood due to a tummy bug and those pesky teeth.

I managed to find a bra though… and I also bought some shoes and next size clothes for Busby.

My shoulder and neck have been playing up recently, and they went funny when we were out. I wasn’t feeling well at all! I really need to go back to the Chiropractor.

Nick had to take a carers leave day as I could barely move. He drove me down to the doctors, which was probably the most pointless appointment I’ve ever had. I was told to take paracetamol, even though I’d told her the codeine I was taking wasn’t touching it… then I was handed half a tree of information about shoulder injuries… Oh, and then I was told to rest it. Rest it with an 8 month old baby? Yeah… ok then.

In the meantime, Nick took Busby for her final Nursery induction which (thankfully) went really well.

Blog post: (I) Do: You’ve got to try on lots of dresses…
I was feeling infinitely better on Friday after a very hot bath and hard self-massage on the affected area, so awoke with a spring in my step. Well, not quite. I still felt like I’d fallen off a horse, but I can cope with that.

On Friday I went wedding dress shopping with my Mutti! More to follow next week, but it was a lovely day out. I also went to Liberty for the first time ever – ooh the stationery and the chocolate!!

Sadly, I was not very well on the train back and think I may have contracted Busby’s stomach bug.

One week until my birthday!!

I write this from my sick bed. We were supposed to go for lunch with my Aunt and Mutti today, but I’m feeling rotten! Hopefully I’ll feel better after a day of rest.

I’m back… it’s evening and I’m feeling a little better! I made some paper bunting for our bedroom; the healing powers of crafting (!) and we also went to Homebase to get some paint as I’m planning on painting some of our boring IKEA furniture.

I’m planning on dying my hair Christina Hendricks red after dinner; I’ve been wanting to do this for about 11 years now, and hey, you’re only 25-almost-26 once!

What have you been up to this week?

Next week I’ll be writing about Sunday-Friday, as next Saturday is my birthday, and I don’t plan on spending my birthday evening blogging! I hope to be sipping champagne and eating creme brulee!
