The Week That Was: Instagrammed #13

Hello! Welcome back to The Week That Was: Instagrammed!

Have you all had a wonderful week?

Thank you to all of you who linked up last week; I hope you all manage to link up again!

The rules are simple: link up a photo post from the week, Instagrammed or not. You can use the same format as below, or you can do your own thing. You can even link up photo posts about one day or one event – they don’t have to be about the whole week.

My week…

This was the week that nothing really went to plan! It was also fairly boring due to sickness!

Blog post: The Week That Was: Instagrammed #12
Sunday was one of those days where nothing particularly exciting happened… My Mutti came over with a “going back to work” present for me – this gorgeous jumper below! I painted my nails like owls… and Downton was back!

The sickness twinges started on Sunday evening and by Monday morning I was feeling truly rotten. I spent most of the day in the bathroom… Less said about that the better.

I was supposed to go back to work on Tuesday, but had to call in sick on my first day back from maternity leave… Not great at all!

I spent almost the whole day in bed either sleeping or resting. I was far too ill to even stand. It was horrific.

There are no Instagram photos from today as I was too ill. I know, too ill for Instagram?!

I was feeling a little bit better on Wednesday, but still not well enough for work (or much more than walking downstairs).

My Mutti had Busby for the day anyway, so I holed myself up in bed. I received some exciting post; mostly for Busby, but I had a lovely surprise package from The Body Shop in the form of this gorgeous bee brooch as a thank you for my Honeymania review! How kind is that??

Another disappointing day… I was too ill to go to the Blogger dinner held at a wonderful restaurant in Hove (actually). Waaah! I had been looking forward to this for WEEKS! We also couldn’t go swimming as I didn’t want to spread my germs, and the warm water would have cooked me.

Nick was off sick again as had contracted the D&V bug… oh, and Busby’s snotty nose returned!

Sick Household Alert!

Blog post: One Year to go!
I woke up hungry! Hoorah!

I was feeling a little bit better so took Busby out for a walk into Lewes so Nick could get some rest. I also needed to buy myself some stationery for work as forgot to last week! Sadly I had to call Nick when we got to Waitrose as I was feeling too dizzy to walk back, so he came and picked us up.

Friday also marked one year until our wedding!!

I spent most of Saturday in bed feeling rotten again. Busby hadn’t slept well the night before and then my mind wouldn’t switch off; I was exhausted!

However, I did read a whole book in one day… and have an epic 45 minute bath! Two things I haven’t done since Busby has been on the planet!!

Fingers crossed the week ahead is better! Sickness permitting I will be returning to work. Also, Nick and I are hoping to go out for dinner one night, as the Lewes Food Festival is on this week and our favourite pub has a burger festival on (yum!).

Have a lovely week!
