The Week That Was: Instagrammed #9

Hello! Hello! And welcome back to The Week That Was: Instagrammed. This week I’m a whole year older! Huzzah!

Have you all had a wonderful week?

Thank you to all of you who linked up last week; I hope you all manage to link up again!

The rules are simple: link up a photo post from the week, Instagrammed or not. You can use the same format as below, or you can do your own thing. You can even link up photo posts about one day or one event – they don’t have to be about the whole week.

So my week…
This was the week that I turned 26, gained an iPad, gained a stone (from all the sexy birthday grub) and drank far too much!

Blog post: Today is my birthday
Today was my birthday! I had an amazing day with my family, and went out for a fantastic lunch where I got very drunk, tried on a wedding dress (not at lunch – this was afterwards) and almost bought it. It was great!

I received an iPad from almost everyone in my family (and a couple of friends); they’d clubbed together to buy it for me so I can write on my journey to and from work when I go back. Such an amazing gift! Thank you again!

Nick and I had been engaged for a whole year on Sunday, so after a lazy day at home recovering from the day before… and painting my nails like cupcakes, we went out for dinner to Pelham House in Lewes. Once again we ate and drank far too much!!

Blog post: 25 – The Year That Was
Monday was quiet… We slumped around the house for most of the day; we weren’t up for much else after the night before!

Nick had the day off on Tuesday and Busby had her second week at Nursery. He managed to get the garden sorted, and I spent the day doing up a chest of drawers for Busby’s bedroom.

Both of us were craving a big, ol’, dirty burger so we went for an impromptu lunch out to our local pub: The Pelham Arms. It was sooo good!

Nick was back at work on Wednesday, so Busby and I spent the day playing with her new bath toys that we’ve been sent to review. They double up as fab “normal” toys too! I had lots of baby cuddles. Yum!

Thursday was a jolly exciting day! We met our Wedding Photographer for an informal chat – she was ridiculously lovely, and now I’m even more excited about our big day.

On Friday Busby, Mutti and I travelled all the way to Bexley to a specialist wedding dress shop to try on one of my “dream dresses”. It looked horrendous! I then spent the next hour and a half trying on other dresses… More on this next week.

We headed to the Sealife Centre in Brighton on Saturday morning, as I had very kindly been given some free tickets to review. Busby had a wonderful time, as did we!

We had lunch on the beach and then wandered along to the Marina for a (very non-alcoholic) drink. A lovely day was had by all!

So there we have it – my week! Next week will be Sunday-Friday again as we’re off to Lille for a few days afterwards, and although the apartment has wi-fi (my only demand), I doubt I’ll be online too much!

Have a wonderful week.

Sounds like you had a good birthday and I’m jealous of the IPad! 😄 We did pretty much all of our own wedding DIY except the cake. Looking forward to hearing about dress progress?
