I’ll stand by you

Big news here in Make, Do and Push! Towers!

*Drum roll*

Busby has been testing the water in the past week and has been practising standing unaided!

I haven’t managed to catch a photo of this yet as by the time she realises what she’s doing she promptly falls on her bottom, but it’s very cute and she’s starting to be conscious of it… I don’t think those first steps are far off!

When did your Little One start walking?

Look at that smile! She looks so happy with her new achievement. CK made little attempt to walk and then when he was 14 months old, he got up and walked across the remember. I remember sitting on the floor gobsmacked. He was just so casual about it. I think he must have been secretly practising in his bedroom.

Clever girl, and she looks so adorable! Both of mine walked within a week or so of their first birthdays, though Little Man had been pulling himself up and cruising for weeks before that. Lovely milestones to reach x

    • 6th November 2013 / 9:11 am

Excellent! I’m approaching her walking in a bittersweet way I think! xx

Oooh, independence! Kids are so cute when they start to venture into the adult world of walking – balancing for a moment, putting a foot forward and then dropping down carefully to crawl again!

Thanks Nicola – she is very cute! xx

That’s so cute! My niece is 10 months and she’s at the same stage. My kids started walking at 14 months after taking a few steps at 13 months.

Lovely photo she looks very proud of herself, Sam has been standing alone for a while and can do quite long stretches now, done a couple of steps but only when he has something to almost dive onto, again I don’t think he will be far off-but I have been saying that for weeks now! Still in denial they are going to be one soon-long gone are our pregnancy posts eh!? xx

    • 6th November 2013 / 9:14 am

Indeed!! I was thinking about this yesterday… waah! xx

  11. 4th November 2013 / 6:00 pm

Exciting stuff. My little man was a lazy fella and didn’t walk until he was 21 months. He was a bum shuffler, who are apparently always late walkers.

    • 6th November 2013 / 9:14 am

      Aww bless him! xx

  12. 4th November 2013 / 8:33 pm

Aw, what a fab photo!Well done Busby. Mini stood up and very solidly so I might add at 14 months but kept us waiting til 21 months for her first few steps, which quickly progressed into full blown walking. Such a magical time!

    • 6th November 2013 / 9:15 am

Thanks Aedin 🙂 It really is xx

  15. 6th November 2013 / 9:15 am

So cute. Monkey was a late walker, nearly 16 months before he finally started walking with his buddies. He was a real little Michellin man so I blame it on the extra weight!

    • 9th November 2013 / 11:47 pm

Oh bless him! He sounds amazing 🙂 xx

  16. 6th November 2013 / 12:02 pm

So cute. Boy was late (about 18 months) but never looked back….before then he seemed content to crawl and roll. Looks like those steps aren’t far off! Popping over from #magicmoments.

What wonderful photo! She looks very pleased with herself. All three of mine began walking, while holding a hand around 12 months, and all walked unaided at about 14 months – bizarrely similar 🙂 #MagicMoments #SSAmazingAchievements
