I hadn’t heard of Little Goat Gruff before an email from owner Kate pinged into my inbox, but I’m glad we were introduced, as it’s a beautiful website with a very lovely collection of items. There’s so much to choose from and I spent ages perusing, looking for the perfect product. I was swayed more than once by something dinosaur related, but I knew that Busby would love the bag of musical instruments, as our Monkey Music classes are the highlight of our week.
The Postman jingled down the road as he delivered Busby her parcel. He was glad to be rid of it (apparently he’d had some strange looks) and she was very glad to receive. We’d had a tough night as she hadn’t been very well, so this cheered her up immediately!
The group of musical instruments are contained within a beautiful purple cotton drawstring bag. A fun game then ensues for a 13 month old; taking the instruments out of the bag and putting them back in.
So what’s inside?
Two wooden baby size maracas: we especially love the ladybird one!
Two wooden castanets: perfect for pretending to be a horse!
One wooden egg shaped shaker with a lovely smiley face.
One set of hand bells with a wooden handle.
All the instruments are beautifully crafted and look delightful. Busby loves the set so much, and we’ve all enjoyed singing and playing along together as a family. They have become a favourite in our household!
The Musical Bag would make the perfect gift for a baby or child who is interested in music and exploring sounds, and at only £14 it is incredibly affordable.
