Review: The Sorbet Range from The Body Shop

Hands up if you’ve been sunburnt in the past few weeks?

Yup. Me too! Irresponsible I know… I had a lunch meeting with a client in the park on a very hot day; I completely forgot to take suncream and didn’t realise I was sat with my back directly to the midday sun. As you can imagine my shoulders were pretty red… so thank goodness for the new sorbet range from The Body Shop!

Body Sorbets. £7 each.
Available in store from 16th July 2014.
These beautiful fruity moisturising gels are fantastic for keeping your skin hydrated without leaving it feeling sticky. They come in five flavours; Strawberry, Mango, Pink Grapefruit, Satsuma and Moringa. I was sent four to try, and my favourite is definitely Strawberry! It’s a beautiful sweet burst of scent, which isn’t overpowering at all.

The Body Sorbets all contain 100% organic Community Fair Trade Aloe Vera from Guatemala, and I have found them a godsend for my very frazzled skin. They’re especially cooling if you pop the tube in the fridge before applying! Ah bliss!

Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet. £10
Available in store from 16th July 2014.
My face has most certainly been feeling the effects of our recent burst of sunshine, and my freckles are currently rather loud and proud… Once again, I was incredibly grateful when The Body Shop sent me some of their new Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet to try! I love their Vitamin E range, so I was looking forward to trying this face cream.

The Aqua Boost Sorbet is wonderfully hydrating, and my skin definitely felt plumper and softer after use. It’s also very cooling, which is great after a day in the sun!

Fun fact: Each pot contains over 2 million aqua spheres, delivering a 24 hour feed of moisturisation to your skin.

I think the Aqua Boost Sorbet is a great product, however, I really didn’t like the texture. Although it’s light-weight, it does feel quite odd when you first apply it, and it did remind me of wall paper paste…

How is your skin faring in the sunshine?
