Hullo! Hullo! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you had a wonderful week?
The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!
Last weekI really enjoyed Lori’s (Lori and the Caravan) post last week – she was questioning her identity since her career change, and it really resonated.
I loved all of Becky’s (Little O and Me) photos – they were so beautiful and Autumnal, and Oliver has serious style!
And finally, I can’t *not* mention Leanne’s (My Little Life of Scrap) amazing knitted sock (singular) – I am so impressed, and want her to knit me some (or one!).
Our week
We had a lovely impromptu Autumnal picnic on Sunday in Lewes. Nick and Busby spent ages making piles of leaves and jumping in them! It was one of those gorgeous family moments in life that you want to remain ingrained in your memory forever.
Busby and I had a fun day on Monday; we wandered down into Lewes to get some fresh air, and for Busby to burn off some energy (I’m not sure where she gets it all from – this was after a 6am start!). We spent a lovely hour or so in The Grange; exploring and eating our lunch together in the Autumnal sunshine.
I worked on Tuesday. It turned into quite a productive day, which is always good!
We spent a fab lunch and afternoon at Raystede with Mutti on Wednesday; Busby had lots of fun running around and exploring. She was a bit intimidated by the geese though! Honk!
Thursday was one of those frustrating days… and it wouldn’t stop raining! Busby and I ended up having an impromptu lunch date at Pizza Express to get out of the rain. It ended on a high though, as our wedding photographer sent through our edited photos from The Big Day! They are seriously fab, and I can’t wait to share some of them with you.
We had our Monkey Music class on Friday morning, which is always lots of fun. The Health Visitor then came round for Busby’s two year check, which she aced… She rather charmed the HV and may have showed off more than a little!! Busby’s bestie and her Mama came round for tea, and brought the most amazing salted caramel and chocolate cookies with them – they’re from Tesco and are seriously immense. Go forth and buy; your life will be better because of it!
Busby had us up early-ish on Saturday morning, so we headed into Brighton to run some errands. I headed to the hairdressers for my colour test ahead of my hair appointment on Tuesday (it’s for a review – I’m very excited as the salon was gorgeous – they had their own coffee bar!), and then we had a lovely coffee stop at Costa for the babyccino we’d promised Busby earlier that morning when she let us dress her and change her nappy (ah, bribes and Parenthood).

What have you been up to this week?
Hannah

Aww bless that she was intimidated by the geese, I don’t blame her! I got chased by some once, terrifying. What a lovely week petal. You did well getting out and about in the rubbish weather x #TWTWC
