Yesterday Busby and I said “farewell” to one of my oldest and closest friends… well, not “farewell” really, more “au revoir!” because we will see her again, it might just be a few months until we’re back in Sussex.
We all went to Bill’s in Lewes for lunch. If you haven’t ever been to Bill’s before I would whole heartedly recommend breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea AND dinner there (maybe not in the same day though…) The halloumi and houmous burger is to die for – as are the puddings – plus they’re ridiculously good with children, and their kids menu doesn’t just consist of “stuff and chips”.
I digress (I’m going to miss Bill’s – I’m not sure it has made it to Yorkshire yet…)
I managed to capture some rather wonderful photos of Busby enjoying her ice cream (after eating the entirety of a huge portion of sausages, mash, gravy and carrots…!) and had to share, as the expression of pure joy in something so small is wonderful. She’s definitely going to be a foodie like us!
There’s nothing she loves better than a bowl of ice cream!

The Bills Halloumi burger is probably one of my favourites ever- it’s just AMAZING isn’t it? God you are making me want one now! And these are such cute photos, it looks like she is really enjoying her ice cream- we love eating out as a family especially the girls as they love that you normally get ice cream after a meal! 😉 PS There is a Bills in York! PPS I can’t believe you are moving, how exciting and daunting! Good luck in your new life oop north! x

Ah fabulous pics! Can’t say I know Bills but I’m with you on eating out, especially for ice cream! We have to time it right with the Bean but we do all generally enjoy it.
