Rainy Days with House of Fraser

A few weeks ago, the lovely folk at House of Fraser got in touch asking whether I’d be interested in choosing Busby some new toys from their online collection. With the move looming in the very near future and the weather having taken a turn for the worse I nodded profusely, and spent most of nap time excitedly to choosing some new items for her toy box.

I received a few odd looks from Nick when the toys arrived… he proceeded to ask me a few times who these toys were actually for! I assured him they were for Busby and reminded him that one of the (many) positives of having children is being able to play with toys again, without receiving disapproving looks from other adults…!

Why the questioning looks?

Well, I ordered this amazing horse box (complete with two horses) by the amazing Melissa & Doug, and the hedgehog Sylvanian family set, which took me back to my childhood. Nick was happy to see a lovely starter kit of Duplo, however, and these amazing wooden bricks (with cart) also from Melissa & Doug.

Apologies that my photos aren’t quite up to the usual “prettiness” standard, but trying to capture a child playing whilst living in an ongoing house move will never result in the most beautiful of photos. She’s having fun though, and that’s what’s important!

I’d like to say a huge thank you to House of Fraser as these toys have been a total godsend during the nasty rain, and whilst our house turned into a sea of boxes. Plus Nick and I had lots of fun playing with the Duplo and hedgehogs once Busby was in bed!
