Review // Project B Box (Month Three)

If you haven’t heard of the Project B box before, then let me explain. Project B is a monthly subscription box suitable for ladies from week 12 of pregnancy. Each box has a theme, and contains a variety of different products, from pampering to super tasty, healthy snacks. The boxes also contain cards detailing expert advice for that period of your pregnancy.

I’m very excited to be working with Project B throughout my pregnancy – this is my third box, and has the theme of “Energise”! You can read my first two reviews here. I’m definitely feeling more energetic than I was a few weeks ago, so I couldn’t wait to see what was in the box.

Lanisoh Ultra Thin Nursing Pads (sample): These will be super useful once Peppercorn is here, but pretty redundant until then, so I’m not sure why they’re in this box when the end of pregnancy is still rather far away.
Femfresh Active Fresh Wash: A lovely soft showergel/wash that’s great for sensitive skin and for days when stronger perfumed products are a little painful to use.
Bear Alpha Bits and Fruit Paws (sample): Yum! I had promised the Fruit Paws to Busby, but got a little peckish whilst working… Oops! Both are natural products – and are very tasty.
Apothederm Stretch Mark cream (sample): I really like this product and wish there was a bigger sample in the box as there’s not quite enough for more than a couple of uses. It’s non-greasy, scentless and left my skin feeling silky soft.
Three Teapigs tea bags: I love Teapigs so was very happy to find these in the box this month. The flavours were lemon and ginger (a delicious alternative to my afternoon cup of tea), peppermint leaves and super berry, the latter which I loved so much, I bought a pack of them as they’re perfect to drink before bedtime with a good book.
Deep Freeze cold patch: My sciatica has been popping up occasionally during this pregnancy, so this was a godsend during a particularly painful evening.
Weleda Almond Cleansing Lotion (sample): A lovely product and ideal for my hormonal skin.
Childs Farm Moisturiser (sample): Another gentle skin product, which is perfect for hormonal skin.
Divine Chocolate Caramel Bar: Oh my – can you put a big one of these in next month please Team Project B??? It was DELICIOUS and totally sated my chocolate craving!

The information/advice cards touched a nerve with me this month, as they were all about weight-training during pregnancy… I understand that the Project B box Team have to cater for all, but it’s not a very mainstream interest and I would have thought pregnancy yoga positions would have been a safer idea – especially for pregnant ladies like myself who have experienced a few bleeds, and therefore exercise such as weight-training isn’t really on the cards!

The boxes cost £14 per month and you can sign up for your monthly Project B box online. These boxes would make a truly lovely, thoughtful gift for a friend or loved-one as they take the Mama into consideration!

I’m looking forward to box number four arriving, as the theme is “relax”, which is something I’m finding very hard to do at the moment!
