Breton stripes are pretty much my staple Mama wardrobe style, so I couldn’t wait to choose some items for the children (and a little something for myself) when Laura from ZuBu Baby asked us to collaborate with her wonderful independent company.
Continuing along the matchy-matchy lines, I chose a gorgeous sleepsuit for Indy, and a footless romper for Busby in navy Breton stripes. The suits both have the most beautiful, contrasting red trim, which looks fab against the navy.
Both the suits are made from a bamboo/organic cotton mix, and are insanely soft!
All of Zubu Baby’s clothes are made from this beautiful mix, which is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-static, so absolutely perfect for sensitive skin. This mix is thermoregulating too; breathable in summer and warmer in winter, which means Busby has been able to wear her gorgeous romper through some of the warmer nights without getting too hot.
Bamboo is 100% biodegradable, and is the fastest growing plant in the world. It also thrives naturally without the use of pesticides or fertilisers, so it’s the absolute ideal sustainable fabric to use for clothing.
Busby enjoys having matching “jamas” with Indy post-bath, and she’s completely fallen in love with her romper. So much so that she keeps stroking it, saying “It’s so soft. Thank you Mummy, it’s beautiful!”
Oh, and she had to show it off to her grandparents before bed when they came over for dinner a couple of weeks ago!
At 8 weeks old, Indy hasn’t been as vocal about his sleepsuit, but I love popping him in it post-bath so he’s enveloped in something super soft… and very smart! The suit also has inbuilt scratch mitts.
I was lucky enough to be sent a gorgeous Breton stripe scarf, which I’ve been using predominantly as a nursing scarf. It’s so soft against Indy’s skin and I don’t have to worry too much about his temperature while he’s underneath. It also goes with everything in my wardrobe!
Busby’s footless romper (£17.50), Indy’s sleepsuit (£15) and my scarf (£20) can be found on the ZuBu Baby website. Head on over to check out Laura’s gorgeous range of items – I’m rather in love with the polar bear sleepsuits… they’d be perfect for Indy’s Christmas Eve box (thinking ahead!!!).
