Indy // Three Months

indy at 3 monthsThis month Indy is absolutely desperate to sit up by himself. Obviously he’s nowhere near ready for this yet, but he still tries to pull himself up when he’s lying on the changing mat! He loves to watch the world, propped up with cushions or on one of our laps, and enjoys charming everyone with his smile.

The sleeping situation still isn’t ideal – especially during the day! He doesn’t like missing out on anything, so he stays awake, much to my dismay. We are now working with a lovely sleep consultant and he’s definitely sleeping better at night… and sleeping in the crib!indy at 3 months

He’s starting to do really well reaching and grabbing objects, and the concentration on his face is adorable.

Indy isn’t gaining weight as quickly as I thought he was, weighing in at only 12lbs when we last weighed him a couple of weeks ago… However, it seems as though he is lengthening out every day, and on last measurement he was 63cm!!!

This month has been a pretty big deal as he chuckled for the first time – AND rolled over for the first time – in the same week. Very proud Mama moments – although he hasn’t repeated the roll since, so may have been a fluke!chuckled

He has continued to love my singing this month, with Heads, Shoulders, Knees & Toes being a favourite.

Indy’s favourite place is asleep on my chest, with both of us tucked up underneath the duvet. He likes to be warm (which makes him the complete opposite to his crazy sister who loves the cold) and Nick often finds us like this when he gets up in the morning… apparently we both have big smiles on our faces too.

He’s getting so big! Glad the sleep training is helping, hopefully it’ll improve his daytime napping too xx

Lovely photos, he is such a cutie. I’m glad your working on the sleep issues. I remember the first 12 weeks being crazy with Little E and then suddenly it all fell into place for her. She would only nap for ten minutes at a time though. When we started to go to groups her naps got longer. It sound like Indy has hit lots of milestone very soon too, he is raring to go!
