This month sees the release of the brand new Cosatto Group 123 Hug Car Seat in the awesome Cuddle Monster 2 print. The new design comes with a 5-point plus™ anti-escape system, which keeps your little monsters safely and lovingly embraced throughout your journey; wriggling out of straps on the motorway is now a thing of the past!
Watch our story of the little monster who never stayed still below:
The Hug is a forward facing car seat that covers groups 1, 2 and 3 (approximately 9kg-36kg, or 9 months until 12 years), which means it’s an essential safety product that lasts – and there is no need to buy any separate seats for your developing monster!
We’re just about to move Busby-Monster up to the Group 2 phase of the Hug*, which uses a seat belt, but even in the Group 2 setting, the seat is much more safe than a booster seat, as the Hug has extra-cushioned Side Impact Protection!

We are proud owners of the ISOFIX version of the Hug car seat, which means it’s extra safe with the super easy click-and-go magic of ISOFIX. The seat even uses ISOFIX in the group 2 and 3 phases, making it even more safe. It was so easy to fit; Nick had to remove the headrest from the seat in our car, but other than that it was plain sailing and a swift installation.
Research shows that more than 70% of children wriggle out of their car seat harnesses, which is quite scary! The 5-point plus™ anti-escape system is rather fantastic, and really is Houdini-proof; in tests, 9 out of 10 little monsters could not wriggle out of their Cosatto Anti-Escape System! Busby-Monster is definitely not getting out of this harness any time soon, and I’m quite sad it doesn’t extend to the group 2 phase of the car seat, as it would be useful to stop curious hands on seatbelt clips! I think we’ll have to get another Hug for our littlest monster… who is well-known for escaping from various harnesses and seats already… and he’s not even 9 months old! Eek!
It might be an anti-escape system, but Busby-Monster always looks super comfy in her Hug seat… And it’s even passed the snooze-test! It’s a rather luxurious seat, with leatherette upholstery, tons of cushioning, wonderfully soft fabrics, pop-off easy-clean covers (very important!), and even more cuddly features including comfy armrests and pads for tummy and chest. It truly is a Hug in a seat!
As one would expect with Cosatto, the Hug is wonderfully and vibrantly designed. The Cuddle Monster 2 print is unisex, bold and brilliant – and ideal for our little monster! The seat pads and liner also flip over for when Busby-Monster is older and wants a plainer seat… It truly grows with your monster!
The Cosatto Hug ISOFIX Car Seat in the Cuddle Monster 2 print costs £280 and is available to pre-order from the Cosatto website now! I would definitely recommend the seat to all parents looking for a super safe, stylish and lasting car seat for their little monster.
It looks so good and the colours are so vibrant. I saw a little tour of it and it looks so safe. Z wriggled out once whilst we were on the motorway and it was a huge panic. Thankfully he’s never done it since!
The colours are so gorgeous aren’t they? And I absolutely love the video- so cute and B makes a very cute little monster! x
I love Cosatto products they are so eye catching and well made ( we have a pushchair). This looks like such a great car seat, I think I need to invest in something like this for my little man xx
Wow those colours are awesome and it looks so comfy. Nice that you can change the pad over too.
Busby is looking so cute! I can’t believe she’s in a grown up car seat already!
