Review // Aloka Robot Sleepylight from Potwells

aloka robot sleepylight reviewH-Bear’s nursery theme is “Robots and Dinosaurs and Bears, oh my!” (a little homage to one of my favourite films), so when we were offered an Aloka Sleepylight from the fabulous children’s online store, Potwells, to review I knew we would have to choose this amazing robot light as soon as I saw it!

There are so many different designs to choose from (the unicorn was next on my list for our bedroom); there’s something for everyone, and for every nursery or bedroom.

Not only is the design awesome, but you can choose from 12 beautiful LED colours (or just white if you fancy!). The lamp is low voltage and is made with low heat LEDs.

Although the light is for H-Bear’s room, Busby has taken a shine to it, and it’s been a great way to get her involved in H-Bear’s bedtime; we ask her which colour she thinks he’d like tonight, and she goes through them all until she (finally!) settles on one.

There’s also a rainbow button which gently cycles through the colours; keeping both children mesmerised!

The dimmer function controls four levels of brightness, which makes the lamp an ideal night light, and the side-lamp feature activates the light in a bright pure white light – making it ideal for bedtime reading.

There’s also a sleep button which automatically lowers the brightness of the Sleepylight to make it the perfect brightness for sleeping, and then turns off after an hour. This feature will be fantastic when H-Bear is a bit older and no longer needs a low level nightlight throughout the night.

The entire Make, Do & Push! Household have been so impressed with the Aloka Sleepylight, and I can’t recommend it enough if you’re looking for a multi-function light that grows with your child. The Sleepylight can be found on the Potwells website for £39.95, and it would make the perfect gift!
