What H-Bear Wore // Shell Baby Jacket from Polarn O. Pyret

Autumn is most definitely upon us and I feel rather bittersweet about this. On the one hand, I love autumn and getting snuggled up in chunky knits and boots, but on the other hand, as a parent, it’s so much easier to survive the day when the weather is good. Autumn is not known for its good weather… Thankfully, the lovely folk at Polarn O. Pyret have come to the rescue to help us get out and about, no matter what the weather – and a few weeks ago (during the heatwave!) they sent H-Bear this absolutely divine yellow shell baby jacket from their outerwear collection.

I am a huge fan of yellow, and if I could have the entire family in yellow jackets I would (do you think that would be going too far?!), but thus far, H-Bear is the only family member to own such a garment. And what a garment!

The coat is water resistant up to 10,000mm, and is fully waterproof and windproof with tapered seams. It’s ideal for little people who want to be on the go, no matter what the weather!Shell Baby Jacket from Polarn O. Pyret review

It’s lightweight, and very flexible, so absolutely perfect for visits to the park, or even just garden explorations.

The light reflectors on the coat would be so useful for school runs on grey days, or later in the afternoon in deepest darkest winter.

The coat is made from very durable fabric – great for toddlers who love to hide in bushes, adventure in playgrounds and climb! With pre-bent sleeves, adjustable hem and sleeves, H-Bear won’t be hindered by this coat as he explores. The zipped chest pocket is also ideal for keeping treasures safe.

At almost 15 months, H-Bear wears size 12-18 months in these photos, so sizing is on the larger side! I’m fine with that though, as it just means that the coat will last even longer.

My favourite feature is the adjustable hood, which also detaches. It’s such a fantastic idea, and means that it will prevent the hood falling in H-Bear’s face and irritating him.

The coat can be used in conjunction with the Polarn O. Pyret fleece jacket; the fleece just clips in to make it super warm and cosy.

What a lovely coat! Im desperate to get Archie a yellow coat for the upcoming winter and this looks perfect and warm. Love the idea you can attach a fleece too, means its a good all year round coat then 🙂

I like the idea that you can detach the hood! Lovely jacket. Baba doesn’t have one of this type yet! I need to investigate that hahaha #FunkyKidFriday

So cute, we just got this for MG and I can’t wait to check it out. It seems perfect for this weird transitional period, especially in a wet playground. Little H looks adorable in it – great choice with the yellow, you can’t go wrong!

Thanks for hosting! Yvadney x #FunkyKidFriday

I love PO.P. Always have. Their coats are brilliant too. Love the yellow. I’d so go for yellow. Their sizes do come up big I find but that’s never an issue! X

Aww bless, he definitely looks like he’s got room to grow in that one! And yay for yellow jackets – Kitty’s new Muddy Puddles jacket is a gorgeous yellow and I really wished they made one in my size!

I am a big fan of Polarn O Pyret, and we bought loads of their stuff in the past few years. We often got compliments on them too 🙂 I do find the sizing is quite big and I could usually buy one size smaller if I wanted it to fit “right”. They do wonderful merino underlayers too, we use them a lot in the winter.

    Thanks for hosting!

I love yellow jackets too, I was so sad when Tyler grew out of his 2-3 age one! They just cheer up rainy days don’t they, love the one H Bear is wearing, and it will last him by the looks of it! X
