As the dark nights draw in, the coats get thicker, and the woolly hats appear (following six months in the wardrobe), I find myself dreaming of warmer climates. Of shedding my coat, my gloves, my 100 denier tights. Of donning a swimsuit, slathering myself in suncream, and lying next to the pool with a good book.
(This is definitely a dream – I *never* get to read a book on holiday anymore… Children don’t let you lie by the pool all day!)
I love autumn and winter, but since becoming a mum I’ve found the colder, wetter seasons so much more difficult to endure than the warmer, brighter seasons.
Wouldn’t it be nice to chase the sun? To never have to put the heating on? To never have to turn to CBeebies again because it’s just started torrentially raining for the tenth time today and you forgot to get more PVA glue at the shops for crafts…?!
To travel the world with your family in tow?! So many adventures. So many experiences. So many things to see.
Oh, just imagine the memories! And (with my Photographer cap on) the photos!
There are lots of things I’d like to do if I won the Lotto. A large chunk of it would go to help people in need, but I would also set up a travel fund for our family. A pot that we could dip into whenever we needed to get away. Or the children were chomping at the bit for the next adventure.
I’d take them to Australia to see family. I’d take Nick and I to New York, as I’m desperate to go and eat ALL the food. We’d go to Borneo and see the orangutans.
So when I was approached by the folk at Lottoland to have a play around on their website, I thought why not? I might be able to start contributing to that travel fund…
Lottoland is a website that is fronted by Chris Tarrant (the chap who used to present Who wants to be a Millionaire?) and is quite an interesting concept; as well as online scratch cards and games, you can do ‘Lotto Betting’ on lotteries all over the world – giving you more chances to win big jackpots you wouldn’t normally have access to.
Confused? Well, it’s quite simple really – Lotto Betting is pretty much what it says on the tin. Instead of playing the Lotto or Euromillons as you would normally with a trip to your newsagent for a slip of paper, you bet on the outcome of the Lotto or Lottery. You get a line of numbers in the same way, and the prizes are still high, but it’s just a slightly different way of placing the bet.
I spent a good half an hour procrastinating on the Lottoland website – exploring the various games and looking through the worldwide lotteries with interest. And you can do the same, as I have £50 credit to giveaway!
Just use the Rafflecopter below. T&Cs apply (see widget for full T&Cs). You must be over 18 years to enter. UK Entrants only please. A winner will be chosen at random and notified within 14 days. You will then have 30 days to claim your prize. No cash alternatives, prize is as stated. Giveaway ends on 20th November 2016 at 00:00.
Good luck!
What would you do if you won the Lotto?
Hannah
