Family Life // Our Week in Sussex

A couple of weeks ago we spent a week staying with my mum in Sussex, as Nick was away on a course. We had such a lovely week, so I wanted to share some of my photos.

Other than to go to soft play in Lewes, and the occasional trip to Haywards Heath, I don’t think we really left Lindfield. Which was absolutely fine with me as it’s the most darling village, which holds so much sentimentality for us as it’s where we got married. There’s so much to do there for the kids, so we well and truly made the most of #VillageLife!

We had many trips to the village bakers, we fed the ducks, and we tried Lindfield’s delicious new coffee shop. I can’t recommend Lindfield Coffee Works enough – we went there almost every day. I managed to fill up my loyalty card in a week…! The coffee was fantastic – and the cakes were SO yummy! It’s pushchair friendly too, so a big hit with us. The only way it could be improved is by having some dairy-free, soya-free alternatives for H-Bear, as he’s starting to get rather annoyed when he can’t join us for cake…

We saw friends, we caught up with family, and we even had a little bit of snow. It was a truly wonderful week.

It was H-Bear’s first experience of snow… and he wasn’t too sure about it! As a summer baby, I think he may be creature of warmer climates. However, as you can see above, Busby loved it!

As is always true with our visits to Sussex, a week is never long enough, and we didn’t get to catch up with everyone we wanted to, so hopefully it won’t be long until we’re down for another visit.

Oh what an absolutely perfect week. That sounds like my idea of heaven right there. Cake, coffee and a cute village.

I love that area of Sussex – it’s so picturesque.
