We love Boots Mini Club clothes here at Make, Do & Push! HQ. Both children have had a number of things from their baby collection over the years – and the adorable range of colourful and fun rompers have always been a favourite.
The children were sent a few items from the Boots Mini Club SS17 range, and so we headed out on probably the coldest, wettest weekend of winter so far for a little shoot!
Most of these photos were taken on Humber Street – which is quite possibly the most awesome street in Hull. I was only introduced to it recently by a friend, who recommended a visit to Thieving Harry’s for decent coffee, and I’ve not been disappointed. There’s a plethora of colourful walls too – as you’ll see in this post!
Busby was sent a divine pair of dungarees and a red top with a gorgeous crochet Peter Pan collar from the Bows & Arrows range.
I want this entire outfit. Isn’t it BEAUTIFUL? I mean for starters, I can’t quite believe the quality of both garments considering the dungarees are only £15 and the top is £12!
The dungarees have a stunning rose pattern lining and turn-ups, which add a touch of softness to the outfit.
The red top is on the thinner side with its all-over diamond pointelle detailing, so Busby is wearing a top underneath.
And that collar?! Oh my! I posted a photo of her wearing this outfit on Instagram over the weekend, and that collar got SO much love! It’s ridiculously gorgeous!
Busby was also sent this beautiful stripy dress, which I would definitely wear as well! (These photos were taken in the garden… and yes, I still have Christmas lights up in the garden – I gave into Busby’s pleas of “Don’t take down all the lights!”)
The dress is made from 100% cotton, and is surprisingly thick, making it perfect for cooler spring days.
It has pockets, which pleases Busby immensely as she loves anything with pockets (don’t we all?).
I love the pleat detailing on this dress – it gives it such a lovely shape.
This simple, beautiful dress is only £12!
H-Bear was sent a roar-wesome dinosaur t-shirt and sweatshirt.
The t-shirt is a particular favourite of mine, as I love the 3-D part (as does he!). It’s so much fun! And for only £8 it will make the perfect play t-shirt.
The sweater is also rather wonderful – and so snuggly soft! It’s a bit on the big side for H, as you’ll read below, but he seemed very cosy in it.
I love all of the colours on the sweater; they’re so easy to coordinate with.
The very cosy dinosaur sweater is only £10! I’m considering buying one for Busby too, so they can twin.
I’ve found the sizing on these clothes fairly interesting! With Busby I’d say it was pretty true to size – she’s wearing age 4-5 in these photos, which is what she’s usually in now. But the sizing with H-Bear was an odd one… both garments he was sent are age 18-24 months, which is his usual size at the moment. However, the jumper swamped, and when I held it up next to Busby’s red top it was almost the same size! It might be worth taking your little person shopping with you to determine which size they will need.
If you’re looking for affordable, quality playwear – or even something smart/casual for a summer party (she says, looking out the window at the rain), then I can’t recommend Boots Mini Club clothes enough! They have such a great range of fun, colourful clothes that children will want to wear. See the full range on the Boots Mini Club website.
Also, Boots currently have a baby event running over February with some fab offers. These include buy one, get a second half price on their Boots Mini Club baby clothing (until 21st February 2017)! And next week (from 22nd February 2017) they’re offering a free cuddly toy when you spend £30 on Mini Club Clothing… which, let’s face it, is ridiculously easy to do. I have my eye on a few more pieces already!
