If you read this blog regularly, or follow me on any form of social media, then you will know how much I love yellow.
I mean, it’s bordering on an obsessional love.
So when I was offered a coat from Lighthouse, I couldn’t resist their yellow raincoats! Sadly the Lana hooded mac was out of stock, so I chose the Beachcomber in yellow instead, and it’s beautiful.
The Beachcomber in sunbeam is such a divine shade of yellow! It also comes in shades: watermelon and french navy. It looks fab with a pair of jeans, and the Haven sweater top I was sent to go with it.
The coat is waterproof up to 3000mm and is windproof, so it’s ideal for walks on the beach on these early spring days.
I love that it’s machine washable, as the children have a tendency to wipe their muddy hands on me when we’re out walking!
The coat also has an integrated hood, which can be zipped away when not needed.
I absolutely love this coat, but I have found the sizing a bit strange. I’m usually a size 14, but had to size up to a 16 as the arms were very tight. Even in the 16, I’ve found the arms to be quite tight, but the rest of the coat fits fine.
As well as the Beachcomber coat, I was also sent the Haven Cotton Sweater top to go underneath. It makes the most perfect underlayer for the coat.
I chose the Night Sky Stripe, but it also comes in the Watermelon shade.
The cuff turn back is beautiful, and this would be a perfect top for riding in!
It’s very comfortable and I’ve had no issues with sizing – I’m wearing a 14 which fits well.
The Beachcomber coat retails at £49.95 and the Haven Sweater top at £49.95, although both are currently in the sale, so pop on over to the Lighthouse website for a peruse!

I wasn’t the only one to receive something to wear in our house; H-Bear was sent a puddlesuit in Indigo. The puddlesuit is also available in rose pink.
I love the indigo shade – it makes such a difference from the standard blue or pink usually available on the market.
H has a tendency to sit down in puddles and mud while out walking, so I was very thankful for the arrival of this suit!
The suit is waterproof up to 2000mm, has fully tapered seams and is also windproof. It’s proved very useful in the garden on our soggy slide, and also out and about on walks.
It’s (thankfully) machine washable, and has an integral hood for those wet walks.
H-Bear is wearing size 18-24 months, which fits well.
The Puddlesuit retails at £24.95, but is also currently in the sale!
Pop on over to the Lighthouse website to find all of the above items, and to check out their full range of gorgeous clothes.
