H-Bear // 22 months

hbear 22 monthsThis month has been a fantastic one for H-Bear in many ways!

Something seems to have clicked with his language, so we’re getting mini sentences from him such as: “Daddy go work” and “Busby go school”, which has been a huge relief as I was starting to get a little bit worried about his speech progression. He’s constantly trying new words out too, and fitting them together. However, other than our family names, everything is said with a ‘g’ in front of the word – so ‘train track’ is “gain gack”… which means I have reprised my role as translator!

H-Bear has also had a complete change of heart about naps, and will happily sleep for two hours (or more) if I put him down in his cot, in his sleeping bag, close the curtains and say “Good night!” He even slept upstairs while we had friends over last week, which is unheard of as he usually suffers from serious FOMO!

This month, H-Bear loves:

  • Bananas, sausages and “bip-bip” (ketchup)… and pretty much refuses to eat anything else that isn’t one of these three things.
  • Trains and anything with wheels. He is quite happy to spend hours playing with his toys vehicles.
  • Reading. Again this month, H-Bear’s love of reading has increased, and he’s more than happy to cuddle up and read book after book.
  • Daddy! I had a shoot yesterday, so Nick took the kids out for lunch… since then it’s all been about Daddy!

hbear 22 monthsIt’s not all been peachy this month sadly. H-Bear is quite angry at the moment and tantrums are a daily occurrence! I think the Terrible Twos are striking early… It might be because our daytime routine has been interrupted over the past few weeks, so I’m hoping he might feel a bit more settled and happier when we return to normal next week.

We’ve potentially found a nursery for H-Bear, which has come recommended. We’re off to have a look around next week. It will be SO good for him, but at the same time it hurts my heart a little…

He is just too cute! Gabe is starting to get some words at long last, so hopefully over the next few months he’ll start being able to communicate a bit more. He is a big lover of ketchup too!

You really do take beautiful pictures of your children. How fantastic for them to look back on when they are older. xx

The photo of him playing with the cars on the table is stunning, just look at that expression! It’s crazy how similar our boys are. Little wild boys xx
