What the Children Wore // Bear & Babe Seagulls

One of our favourite childrenswear brands, Bear & Babe, turns one in a couple of weeks, and I wanted to celebrate this with a little shoot at Yorkshire Lavender yesterday.

Bear & Babe have featured on the blog (and on our Instagram) rather a lot over the past year, and I now count Mary amongst my friends. She is so incredibly talented, and I’m definitely not the only one who thinks so; she quit her job as a nanny a few months ago to focus on the business (and she’s still SO busy that she’s up sewing until 1am most days!).

You can read more about the Bear & Babe story in my previous posts.

My favourite SS17 Bear & Babe print has to be the seagulls. Made from organic jersey cotton, Busby’s skirt is ideal for twirling in – and H-Bear’s dungarees are so soft and comfortable for exploring.

The children have worn these clothes pretty much continuously for the past few months. They’ve been covered in strawberries, chocolate ice cream and everything else you’d expect from two children under five, but the garments wash so well without any print fade. The quality is just fantastic!

I (obviously) love this yellow print! The seagulls are so fun and perfect for summer holiday adventures to the beach and beyond.

H-Bear’s dungarees fasten with poppers at the top for easy nappy changes. Recently he’s started to undo buttons and other fasteners, so I’m very thankful that these are indeed poppers as he hasn’t mastered them yet!

Busby wears age 5-6 years (£25) and H-Bear wears age 2-3 years (£25). Both of the skirt and the dungarees are available to buy on the Bear & Babe Etsy page now, along with SO many other gorgeous items.
