Siblings // September 2017

Gosh September, you came around quickly!

I was hoping that these photos would be taken on Whitby beach, as they were last September, but sadly our weekend in Whitby didn’t happen at the start of the month due to all round exhaustion. Instead, these photos were taken on a lovely autumnal walk last Sunday. Nick made a roast so, while it cooked away in the oven, we decided to get some fresh air and go in search of conkers.

September has been a month of upheaval for us all. Busby started school, H-Bear started nursery, and my work day shifted around to accommodate childcare! I do love the flexibility of being self-employed.

Busby has settled in well so far. I’m not sure she’s entirely convinced about having to go to school five days a week though… I think she’s craving a lazy morning (or three) in bed with H-Bear and I instead of donning her uniform and being out of the door with Nick by 8.30am.

H-Bear has adjusted to Busby being at school a lot better than I thought he would. We get the occasional “Where Busby gone?” but on the whole he’s quite happy with his lot. He gets the monopoly on my time and attention, free rein during iPad time, and can play with his train set without being interrupted!

However, he has not adjusted to nursery life quite yet. Which is totally understandable, as it’s the first time he’s been away from me without Busby around as well. I always forget that Busby was in a nursery environment from about 8 months old, so she’s very adaptable when it comes to change, whereas H-Bear hasn’t really left my side in his two and a bit years!

In other news, I’m SO happy that autumn has arrived here in Yorkshire! The light is starting to become soft and beautiful once again, and I’m looking forward to more weekend adventures with these two.

We haven’t been to the woods in such a long time. This weekend seems to be a bit chockablock but maybe in two weekends. #siblingsproject

I think that’s the worst part and even more so when they realise that they have to go forever. It actually makes me a bit sad. Lovely photos as always xx

What gorgeous pictures, and yay to collecting conkers! I always think the same about my two – I think Parker is going to be much harder to say goodbye to when his time for nursery/preschool comes xx

Gorgeous photos and I have to admit I am taking some getting used to that school is 5 days a week and I’m 3 years in so I feel that pain
