I’ve come to the conclusion that kids have the best shoes. Why can’t I get away with wearing shoes with rabbit ears? Or frog faces? Or even BB-8, like these awesome ones from Po-Zu? Actually, I could definitely get away with these (and they make them in my size)!
Ethical shoe company Po-Zu have collaborated with Disney (under license with Lucasfilm/Disney), to bring you this amazing collection of Star Wars inspired shoes.
We opted for a pair of orange BB-8 high-tops for Busby, because I love BB-8 and I thought our very ‘BB’ would appreciate having her pet-name on the shoes. Although she keeps proclaiming that she’s “BB-4 (almost 5), not BB-8!”
Other options in the range include red and black high-tops with the Resistance logo on, Storm Trooper boots in black and white (which I have to admit, I was a little bit tempted by), Rey inspired brown boots, and even a Chewie inspired boot which is covered in faux fur and is more than a little bit marvellous!
The BB-8 high-tops are made from organic cotton and an eco-microfibre. They are handcrafted in Portugal in line with Po-Zu’s ethical and sustainable standards.
They are super comfortable with a removable foot mattress sole, which moulds to the shape of your foot. It’s like a hug in a shoe – and great for children’s feet as it’s so supportive.
Although the high-tops have laces, there’s also a side zip, which means Busby can take them on and off independently.
The quality of these shoes is outstanding and they would make any Star Wars fan a wonderful Christmas or birthday present. They also come in adult sizes (yay! I’m in love with the silver Resistance high-tops).
The BB-8 orange high-tops cost £65, which puts them on the more expensive side for kids shoes. However, if you visit the Po-Zu website, you can get £10 off the range by signing up to the newsletter.
