Christmas // A Gift Guide for Waggy Tails

Our brand new family member, Bertie, comes home with us this weekend and we are all very excited. In fact, I’m so excited, I’ve even been telling people in my dreams that we’re getting a puppy…

I can’t wait for Bertie to spend his first Christmas with us. I know it’s going to be chaotic, and I imagine there may be a few disastrous moments involving puppy teeth and presents, but I also know that he will love to be around everyone; wagging his extremely waggy tail!

Not only this, but I’m hoping a few puppy cuddles might help diffuse some of my stress in the lead up to Christmas; with Busby’s birthday 5 days before, and so many things to get ready, Pet Therapy will definitely be a bonus this year!

As the countdown to Christmas gets underway, I’ve handpicked a few treats for the pooch in your life, to help make their Christmas special too:

Armitage ‘Good Boy’ Dog Advent Calendar, HomeBargains, £1.29
I think Busby might be more excited about this than her own advent calendar! Containing 24 dog-friendly chocolate treats, this advent calendar means that your canine buddy can countdown Christmas with you.

Large Plush Father Christmas, HomeBargains, £4.99
This caterpillar-esque Father Christmas will be a big hit with any doggy! I’m looking forward to using to play tug-of-war with Bertie (his favourite game)!

IAMS Minis, IAMS, £1.49
Made without gluten, packed with vitamins, and low in fat, IAMS Minis are a guilt-free treat that is available in three tasty flavours:
– Lamb with Cranberry
– Beef with Apple
– Chicken with Carrots

Otto Basket, Tilly + Cub, £28
This versatile basket can be used for everything from a puppy nest, to storing all of those dog toys! H-Bear also loves to sit in it…

Happy Jackson Unicorn Pet Tin, Find Me A Gift, £14.99
How cute is this treat tin? Ideal for keeping all of these Christmas treats in!

Forthglade Turkey Christmas Dinner, £1.35 & Forthglade Christmas Treats, £2.99. Both available from
To ensure everyone can enjoy a festive feast this season; Devonian dog lovers, Forthglade, have launching these special, grain-free limited-edition Cranberry and Parsnip Christmas Treats as well as a grain-free 100% natural Christmas dinner for dogs! Sadly, Bertie won’t be able to enjoy the Christmas Dinner in December as it’s for 1 years+, but I’m sure I can find a willing pooch to gobble it up.

Mikki Massage Slicker, Mikki Pet, £7.49.
The Mikki Massage Slicker works by trapping the loose hair whilst stimulating the skin to help promote a healthy and shiny coat. The perfect, relaxing grooming experience for nervous dogs.

Mikki Training Dumbbell, Mikki Pet.
A fantastic toy for playing and exercising – this one even floats!

FURminator deShedding Tool, FURminator, £34.99.
Designed by a professional groomer with your dogs’ comfort in mind, the FURminator deShedding tool reduces shedding up to 90% and leaves your dog’s coat looking shiny and healthy. It’s easy to use, and easy to clean; with its FURejector button! This medium size tool is especially designed for cocker spaniels and other medium sized dogs, so it will be perfect for snuggly grooming time with Bertie.
