We are well and truly into November now, and it has been infinitely better than October!
We had a wonderful celebration for Nick’s birthday – including our very own little Bonfire Party with toasted marshmallows, hot dogs and fireworks (which the children LOVED). The weather has been cold and crisp here in Yorkshire, so adventures have been plentiful, especially as our half term fell into the first few days of November.
Unfortunately, H-Bear has been poorly for a couple of weeks now, so our adventures haven’t quite been as lengthy as they usually are, and he’s needed to be in the pushchair a bit more than usual… although this has meant that we’ve been getting around much quicker!
The most exciting thing about this month is still to come! We’re getting a puppy – and he arrives in the Harding Household on Saturday! We’ve been visiting him every weekend for about 5 weeks and he’s really getting to know us. He’s so playful and has the waggiest tail.
The children are very excited about the impending arrival of Bertie and have been very enthusiastic about getting the house ready for him. He’s going to be an extremely welcome and loved member of the family – and I’m already wondering if I can get away with putting all three in matching elf outfits for December’s Siblings post (much to Nick’s dismay)!
These photos were taken on Sunday at Hull Marina. We had a really wonderful Sunday morning exploring (despite the bitter cold!) and we ended our walk with brunch at our favourite place on Humber Street – Thieving Harry’s. They’ve just introduced french toast with maple syrup and bacon onto their brunch menu, and it’s one of those dishes that Busby and I can’t resist!
Sunday afternoon was spent killing time before we went to visit Bertie! It was the last visit before he comes home with us on Saturday. He was in a very playful mood and had so much energy! I can see H-Bear and Bertie exhausting each other out daily come next week…
