We’re big fans of colourful outdoor clothing brand Muddy Puddles here at Make, Do & Push! HQ, so we were very excited to hear about their new range of gorgeous rucksacks.
The children were sent a rucksack each: Busby in the Baltic Hoof Print (which is a turquoise), and H-Bear in the Red Interstellar Print. There is a third print: ‘Navy Hoof’, which is a gorgeous navy and tan colourway.
I adore the inspiration behind the red Interstellar print; ‘Where my Wellies Take Me’ is an incredible anthology of poems, curated beautifully by Michael and Claire Morpurgo, and one that I have bought for the children for Christmas.
The rucksacks cost £30 each and are a good size (40cm x 30cm x 15cm with an 18 litre capacity), meaning that you could easily use them as an adult too. I’ve got my eye on H’s bag!
The rucksacks are made from wonderfully tough waterproof fabric, with fully waterproof zips – making them absolutely perfect for outdoor adventures!
They also have a wipeable inner lining, which is excellent for those inevitable spillages and jam sandwich oozing…!
The straps and back of the rucksack are padded for extra comfort. Not only this, but the straps are also fully adjustable with a chest strap for better fit and support when carrying everything you need to go on a fun adventure.
I love the little name tag inside the rucksack and the carabiner clip, which is incredibly useful.
The water bottle pocket on each side is also a fantastic addition to the rucksack.
The reflective logo, zip pulls and piping on the straps have been great for our walks home from school over the past couple of weeks, as they help make the children more visible in the dark.
The rucksacks are available to buy on the Muddy Puddles website now, and would be perfect bags for returning to school in January – or even just for adventures in the woods!
