We’ve had a very jam-packed, adventure-filled February so far involving a few beach trips and woodland explorations. We’re also on half term this week, so it’s been a great week of catching up with friends and family.
This month’s photos were taken at the Humber Bridge Country Park last weekend. We had an awesome afternoon exploring and building dens in the woods. The children really got into den building, which makes me even more excited for our Lake District adventures this year!
It feels like Busby and H-Bear have grown closer this month. Something has shifted, and Busby will happily let H play with her toys (most of the time). She loves being able to boss him around – so they play a lot of ‘schools’ where she is (obviously) the teacher and H-Bear is the bewildered student; happily following her if it means he gets her full attention.
We’ve also had a couple of blissful mornings where they’ve played together in Busby’s room while we’ve had a lie in. No one tells you about this when you have a screaming newborn who wakes up every two hours; it does get easier and you can regain snippets of your ‘Before Children’ life when they play nicely.
I know H-Bear has loved having Busby around for half term. I’m not quite as entertaining as she is, and he appreciates having someone to copy!
The rest of our February seems to be as busy as the start has been… and I’m hoping that some of our trips away might be confirmed in the next few weeks so we can start planning – and getting excited!
