I’ve probably kept you in suspense for long enough…
Last weekend we were kindly invited along to Window to the Womb in Doncaster (a full review to follow). It’s a really lovely friendly clinic, and we can’t wait to return for our 4D scan in September.
Anyway, after checking that Bun was ok, the sonographer asked us whether we were ready to find out the gender. Eek! I closed my eyes, waiting to hear the words: “It’s a boy” (this pregnancy has pretty much been identical to H-Bear’s, so I was convinced we were having another boy!)
But instead she said:
“It’s a girl!”
“ARE YOU SURE?!” I exclaimed, more than a little shocked!
“Yes… I can re-check, but I’m certain it’s a girl”
“Oh my goodness! I was CERTAIN you were going to say boy!”
The sonographer re-checked, and there were definitely girl parts!
“A girl! A GIRL?! ANOTHER GIRL!?!” I grinned at Nick.
So very excitingly, and still rather surprised (but oh my, the BEST surprise!), I am happy to announce that we’re having another girl in December 2018!!! Nick and I are over the moon. The children weren’t massively impressed – mostly because I’d told Busby she could have a unicorn bedroom in a couple of years if Bun was a boy. And H-Bear just repeated: “No, Mummy, it’s a boy!” But they’ve both come round to the idea of another girl joining the clan… and I’ve started shopping! Peter Pan collars, florals and Cath Kidston galore! Plus the wonderful Boden dresses I have stored away in the attic are coming back! Yay!
This Christmas is going to be glorious!
