We’re already halfway through July, and the Summer Holidays are just around the corner, which is both very exciting and a little bit daunting. We don’t have much planned at the moment. I’m hoping we’ll be able to stay with my mum in Sussex for a week and catch up with friends… Other than that, I envisage many days in the garden playing in the paddling pool and eating rocket lollies.
We have just announced that our next Siblings addition is going to be a girl! We are over the moon! You can catch up with our gender reveal here.
This month’s photos were taken on Fraisthorpe beach last weekend. The sea was gorgeous and so warm! Nick and I regretted not bringing our swimming costumes – although we ended up getting soggy anyway.
The weather has been amazing so far this month. I don’t think it’s been this hot in Yorkshire since we moved here three years ago! Consequently, the beach was jam-packed at the weekend. We’ve never seen it so busy! Where were all these people in February when we were braving the snow on the same beach and having character building picnics?
My children are very good at talking their way into things. Usually it’s a tractor cab, but last Sunday it was a kayak! A lovely guy on the beach let the children borrow his kayak for about half an hour, and they had the best time riding the waves.
After kayaking, we had a picnic and then went back in the sea. By this point, the beach was getting quieter and the tide was quite far out. It was still so warm, and absolutely beautiful.
H-Bear’s pre-school place has been confirmed for September, so with Busby going into Year One and then H-Bear spending 2.5 days at pre-school, I’m going to be very ready for Bun’s arrival in November/December! Everyone is growing up too quickly – and it’s making this hormonal, pregnant lady rather emotional.
