38 weeks ago Grape wasn’t even a consideration in our minds; I was busy at work in my new role, Nick and I were (rather drunkenly) enjoying a child-free existence in Brighton, and I was about to start a new course of treatment for my endometriosis. Then three pregnancy tests five weeks later…shock and elation: “We’re going to be parents!?!” Now I’m 38 weeks pregnant with a lovely, huge, squirming Bump, I’ve finished work for at least 9 months and I could give birth at any moment. How life can change!
I had my 38 week midwife appointment earlier today and everything is fine with Bump, which is excellent news. She’s measuring bang on, she’s almost in the correct position, her heartbeat is beautifully strong and my iron levels are back up – I knew the chocolate would help! As my midwife said, I’m ready to pop whenever…wow!
We’re all moved, which is a relief! Now I can concentrate on nesting and getting ready for Christmas… I have to be prepared! My Braxton Hicks contractions have been getting more frequent and have been lasting for longer, so I think this might be an indication that she’s preparing to join us!

Glad everything is going well-including the move! Good luck! x
Thank you 🙂 I hope all is well with you, your Bump and the rest of your clan! x
