Review: Hawes & Curtis Ladies Megan Ditsy shirt

I occasionally feel a bit slobby on the Nursery run (I’m frequently running a bit behind schedule and look rather dishevelled from a day of self-hair-pulling at work), so I’ve been in search of an item of clothing that would help make me feel a bit more yummy, rather than the breton stripes and jeans Mama style trap I seem to have fallen into recently. So when the lovely people at Hawes & Curtis got in touch and asked me to choose a shirt from their wonderful, vast collection of ladies shirts I had an important decision to make!

In the end I went with the stunning Ladies Royal Blue and Pink Megan Ditsy shirt in the classic fit. I loved it from the moment I saw it online; it had a Cath Kidston-esque feel about it and thought it would be perfect for the chic country Mama look I was after.

The shirt arrived beautifully packaged in a lovely baby blue Hawes & Curtis box. Unfortunately the box had been a little bashed in transit so I haven’t taken a photo.

The shirt itself was even better in the flesh cloth. I opted for a size 12 and the fit is perfect; it’s so comfortable to wear and looks beautiful. I always struggle to find a shirt that fits properly across my chest; I usually end up with a gap and have to buy a bigger, less well-fitting shirt, or wear a top underneath.

I did think the pattern might be too much, especially so close to my face, but in fact it’s beautiful and looks wonderful with a pair of jeans or a skirt.

The shirt is made from 100% luxurious quality cotton and is very breathable.

It is a single cuff shirt and, when rolled over, the cuff reveals a beautiful shade of purple.

I have been so impressed with the Hawes & Curtis Ladies Megan Ditsy shirt, and have had lots of compliments. It’s the perfect addition to my Nursery run wardrobe, and I will definitely be taking it on Honeymoon to the Lakes with me!

The Ladies Royal Blue and Pink Megan Ditsy shirt retails at £69 and is available to buy on the Hawes & Curtis website.
