Pregnant with a Peppercorn // 10 weeks pregnant

This week was a crazy week as we moved and relocated to Yorkshire! I felt fairly useless not being able to lift much during the move, and my sciatica also seemed to make an appearance after a long evening of bending over and packing boxes… It hasn’t gone away yet, which is proving rather painful.

Pregnancy Hangover seems to be getting worse in the evenings, as that’s when I’m most tired at the moment. It means that, if I’m not in bed by 9.30-10pm, I can be found retching sexily into my hand or down the toilet…

Peppercorn is the size of a green olive this week, which is quite funny, as I have been eating tubs of them! I’ve also been rather partial to a gingerbread cupcake (or three) from Waitrose, which I only discovered the day before we left Lewes… this is probably a good thing for my waistline (the nearest Waitrose to where we are is Harrogate).

I’m still very exhausted, although I’m sure the stress of the move hasn’t helped this. I’m hoping that I’ll start to feel better once 12 weeks is here, as I did when I was pregnant with Busby.

After chatting to a few friends, I realised that everyone I know who went off tea when they were pregnant had a boy, so I’m rather excited to see whether I can put nub theory to work at the dating scan. I’ve been thinking a lot about gender, and about whether I’d “prefer” to have a boy or a girl this time around – to be quite honest I really don’t mind! There are serious pluses to having both… and I’m sure both are equally as bad during the teenage years! I love having a girl, and would be over the moon with having two girls – but at the same time, having a boy and a girl would also be pretty awesome! We shall have to wait and see!

I really hope you start to feel better soon! I discovered the gingerbread cupcakes this week- whoever thought of topping them with a gingerbread biscuit is a genius! I bought mine on the way back from a post-work session at the pub, like a sweet, uber middle-class version of a kebab :p I hope the move went smoothly xxxx

Aren’t they amazing? They were 40p when I discovered them (ah joyous 3.30pm on a Sunday in Waitrose)!

Move went as smoothly as it could with a toddler and a pregnant Mama 😉 Missing Lewes immensely xxxx
