Pregnant with a Peppercorn // 9 weeks pregnant

I’m completely and utterly fed up with the first trimester now, and would really appreciate it if 12-13 weeks hurries up. I’m feeling so exhausted and sick. Nick is being amazing letting me lie in for as long as possible in the mornings, and dealing with Busby when she enters our room first thing. I know I should stop moaning, but this Mama needs 24/7 bed rest!

I can’t stop eating. All of the good work I did losing weight for the wedding is swiftly being undone! We went to a friends open house party on Saturday; I sat by the crudités all afternoon and constantly grazed! It’s the only way to stop the disgusting taste appearing in my mouth and to stop me retching… I think retching in front of them would have given the game away somewhat! I suspect one of them may have guessed though, as her eyes kept darting to my growing Bump…

This week Peppercorn is the size of a grape! Which is ironic because it’s all about the grapes for me at the moment (they have to be washed and fridge-cold…) Peppercorn is now starting to look more like a human, and is sans tail! I’ve always thought a tail would be quite useful…

I’ve been craving mangoes by the truck load! They seem to stop me feeling sick for quite a while, and provide the sugar kick without making my mouth taste of chemicals. I’ve also been eating a lot of halloumi… and I’m still on the fizzy water!
