The lovely folk at Glade kindly sent me four candles (wrapped up in Christmas paper - how festive!) from their limited edition Christmas range to try.
I’m a big fan of candles, but since having Busby we haven’t used them in the house as much as we used to; fire and toddlers aren’t the best match. I can’t resist a Christmassy scent, however, and these four candles certainly are festive!
My favourite has to be the Warm Spice candle, which makes me think of mulled wine, frosty nights and Christmas lights. It’s a beautiful scent, and isn’t overpowering. It’s also a warming, festive colour - which fits in well with all of the Christmassy-ness around the house.
The scent that I was really surprised to love was the Roasted Chesnut and Macaroon. Unlit, the smell is overpowering and as Nick described “it smells like old lady perfume”, but when it’s lit the smell is gorgeous and suitably festive.
Again, Blackberry Frost‘s scent unlit was overpowering, and made me think of cough sweets! But it’s a lovely sweet smell when lit.
On first smell, Winter White was my least favourite in the range, (it smells a bit like fabric conditioner) but it’s actually surprising lovely when lit, and gives off a floral scent. It’s also a lovely colour and would be the perfect “bathroom” candle fragrance.
All of the candles smell wonderful and last up to 30 hours!
The limited edition candles from Glade can be purchased from a number of different supermarkets and retailers, with prices starting from £2.

These candles are really cute and Christmassy! The idea of chestnut and macarons sounds really unusual though!
