Review // Bravado Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra

My breasts have been suffering this pregnancy – they’re a lot more painful and sensitive than they were when I was pregnant with Busby, and they’ve already doubled in size. So finding a maternity bra that is comfortable, fits beautifully, and is supportive for my ample, growing bosom has been of paramount importance! Thankfully the lovely folk at Bravado offered to send me one of their Signature Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bras, which is also perfect for pregnancy, and I have to say it has been an eye-opener.
I was sent a Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra in Pink Ice. I wouldn’t normally opt for a pink bra, but it’s actually a very feminine, soft pink that compliments my skin tone beautifully. The Body Silk bras come in a number of different colours, including the classic black and white.

The bra is wire-free, so there’s no uncomfortable readjusting when you stand up or sit down. It’s also seamless, which is fabulous for wearing under slightly tighter items of clothing to show off your bump! The bra is super soft, which is perfect against sensitive nipples, and the smooth, knitted fabric feels wonderful against your skin. I haven’t experienced the bra digging into my skin at all – it has been growing with me.

My favourite thing about the bra are the foam inserts. What I’ve found in the past with some nursing/maternity bras is that my breasts look saggy (sexy), as the bras don’t have any real shape. The foam inserts are a fantastic idea, and keep your bosom looking rounded, shapely and supported – just as a cup in an under-wired bra does.

I’ve been the proud owner of the Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra for 3-4 weeks now, so it’s been through a far amount of washes. It washes beautifully and the foam inserts bounce back into shape as soon as they start drying; I’ve found it best if you take them out of the bra and pop them on the radiator separately after washing.

Both sides of the bra can be unhooked, for once Peppercorn arrives and we’re feeding, and then easily re-hooked once dinner time is over. This is very easy to do, and requires minimal fiddling.

The Bravado Signature Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra is, without a doubt, the most comfortable bra I’ve ever owned. It’s flattering, it doesn’t compromise on breast shape, and I would whole-heartedly recommend it to any pregnant readers and friends who are looking for super comfortable, beautifully made maternity or nursing bra.

The Bravado Signature Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra costs £30, and can be found on the Bravado website along with a whole host of other beautiful items.
