Review // Weleda Stretch Mark Massage Oil

During my pregnancy with Busby it felt like I tried every lotion and potion available for my bump; bump cream was a whole new product for me to try, and I was eager to keep my bump moisturised. I’ve been a bit more lax this time round, as my stretch marks came in the last week or so before giving birth to Busby, so I haven’t been as worried about tiger stripes appearing, and have been moisturising every couple of days, as opposed to religiously every night.

The lovely people at Weleda sent me a bottle of their Stretch Mark Massage Oil to try. It’s not an oil I tried when I was pregnant with Busby, so I was looking forward to testing something new.

Firstly, the oil smells amazing! It conjures up thoughts of massages and spas, and instantly makes me feel relaxed. It comes in a glass bottle too, which I think adds a little more luxury to the product.

The base of the massage oil is nourishing sweet almond oil, which is packed full of essential fatty acids that help to keep your skin feeling hydrated and supple. The oil also contains organic arnica flower extract, which helps ease the tightness of the skin around your bump, and wheat germ oil which conditions your skin and nourishes it with vitamins A, D and E. It’s ideal for a soothing massage – and an activity you can get your Other Half involved in too, to help them bond with your beautiful bump.

The oil glides onto my bump and doesn’t leave lots of residue like some bump oils have done in the past. My bump feels instantly softer, nourished and more hydrated after I’ve used this gorgeous product. It’s also wonderful for foot massages, which Nick is pretty good at!

The Weleda Stretch Mark Massage Oil costs £15.95 for 100ml, and is available to buy on the Weleda website. I would definitely recommend this beautiful product if you’re looking for something a little more special than the standard stretch mark oil.
