Hallo! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you had a lovely week?
The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!
Last week
I really enjoyed Karen’s (The Mad House of Cats & Babies) post last week! I was rather envious of her family adventure to Bangkok – it looked absolutely amazing…!
Beth (Bee’s Circus) gave a lovely round-up of her year. Her photos are fantastic, so make sure you pop over and have a look. Gorgeous!
Anna’s blog (Play at Home Teacher) is a new blog find for me, and I loved her first instalment of #TWTWC! Her daughter Sophie is a real cutie and she went for her first swim last week.
Our week
It’s been another exciting week here at Make, Do and Push! We’ve been house hunting again, and Peppercorn has been fluttering away in my belly! I’ve been suffering from pregnancy insomnia though, so it’s been a serious effort to even walk up the stairs some days.
We had a lovely wander around our local National Trust property, Nostell Priory, on Sunday. It was rather chilly and very frosty, but it was lovely to get out the house and work up an appetite.
My pregnancy insomnia hit on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, so I’ve been a bit of a zombie… We did go out for a lovely lunch on Wednesday though.
I managed to sleep again on Wednesday night, so was feeling slightly brighter on Thursday! Busby and I did some baking, and made some rather delicious cupcakes.
Friday was exciting! I headed over to Cottingham to meet Nick, who had taken half a day of annual leave, and we spent the afternoon house hunting. We found one very possible house to buy! We then stayed over in Walkington, had steak for dinner, and checked out the area at night.
We spent Saturday morning house hunting again, this time South of the Humber, but the areas weren’t for us, so we came back early and spent the afternoon talking about the two houses on our “second viewing” list, and reading Ideal Home!
What have you been up to this week?
Hannah
Huge apologies – my badge has been very awkward the last few weeks – it is under construction for now, as the template keeps reformatting the quotation marks in the code (geeky snore) Please let me know on Twitter if you’d like me to email the badge through to you… It seems to be working on Blogger blogs fine – it’s just WordPress! You can find the badge here for the time being.
Hi Hannah.
Thanks for the lovely mention. I discovered your blog and some others through this linky 🙂 I hope my new linky will be as successful as yours and help people to discover new blogs too.
I am so impressed with how much you are doing while pregnant! A house move, going out of the house and looking after a toddler. If I have a second I will be rereading these posts as motivation! Hope you get some better sleep next week 🙂 xx
Oh my, thank you so much!! ❤️ Your words are so, so sweet! Thanks for hosting, this is one of my favourite link ups!
Link didn’t work for me last week but I thought I was doing something wrong. I just hyperlinked a picture of your badge back to you. On my phone at moment will have a go at checking badge when I get my laptop out. Xx
Sorry to hear you have been struggling with pregnancy insomnia, it’s awful isn’t it, I can imagine even harder with a toddler in tow! I really need to do some more baking with Oliver, I always put it off! Love that mug!
xx
The house hunt is so exciting and I can’t wait to see pictures. Hope the sleep situation improves soon huni xxx
Pregnancy insomnia is not good!! Glad you finally managed to get some sleep!! House hunting sounds like its going very well 🙂 xx
Exciting news on the house hunting but not good on the sleep front.
So sorry about the insomnia, I remember that bit, I don’t envy you! Thank you for the mention!
Good look with the continuing house hunt! Hopefully it won’t last too much longer, and then maybe you’ll be able to sleep a bit more as the stress can’t be helping either!
Hey, you code isn’t working as it has too many ” in it. Take out the ” in the code from the box
so that it looks like this:
And voila that should work.
Ah dash the code doesn’t work lol Just take out all the ” in your code and it will work.
Sorry to hear you didn’t like the area on Saturday, I was wondering how you got on. Hopefully you’ll find the place that is right for you all soon. We get Graze boxes here and we love them 🙂 hope you have a god week xx
Adore all of your photos as usual.
Sorry you’ve been suffering with pregnancy insomnia - that is no fun at all. I really hope it goes away soon.
Have a lovely week.

oh, no not the dreaded insomnia! I had that and ended up with a serious Candy Crush obsession. Sorry, I’ve got no tips only sympathy.
House hunting is so scary and exciting!
The insomnia sucks, hope it settles down soon, sounds like life up North is going well, I’m sure once you’re all settled in to your own home it will be amazing x
Thanks for hosting, great pictures and I love the mug. Boo to pregnancy insomnia though, hope it’s better this week xxx
oo how exciting house hunting, hope all goes well and you find something soon! x
I hope you manage to sleep better this week!! Good luck with the house hunting 🙂
Those cup cakes look rather scrumptious! Yummy 🙂 Oh the joys of house hunting - I remember when we were looking to buy 7 years ago, our youngest was barely two weeks old! Luckily we found something pretty quickly and we were in by Christmas. Seems like yesterday. Have fun and good luck in finding the perfect home for the Hardings xx
p.s. hope you get a bit more sleep this week :/
Oh no not insomnia, i remember doing a lot of meditating, or relaxing with my legs crossed more like with one of the children when I was pregnant, can’ remember which one, but i’m sure it helped. Hope the house hunting goes well, sounds positive with second viewing lists! xx
Sounds like you had a very busy week with the house hunting and taking care of a toddler too! Having sleep insomnia added to that I am sure does not help. I work full time and so for me, it is a case of ‘the weekend that was captured :)!
What an exciting week! I bloody love house hunting. I’m actually rather excited about getting to do it all over again 🙂 xxx
