The Week That Was: Captured #80

Hullo there! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you had a wonderful week?

The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!

Last week

I had to mention Little Button Diaries beautiful post from last week, and congratulate Laura, her Husband and Harper on their new arrival, the gorgeous Grayson!

Wow! Truly Madly Kids’ photos from last week were truly amazing! I love me a Highland coo, and Rosie’s pictures were wonderful.

I really enjoyed reading Amanda’s (City Girl Gone Coastal) post last week – her photos were really stunning, and I loved the idea of colour-in wellies!

Our week
It’s been a week of ups and downs!

We headed over to Cannon Hall Farm on Sunday for a wander. Busby managed to wangle us a private trailer ride on the tractor, and then she charmed her way into the tractor cab! She loves a tractor.

Monday didn’t start well… We found out that the house we were planning on viewing for a second time (and making an offer on) had received an offer and that it had been accepted. We put a higher offer in (and we’re in a better position than the buyers) but it was, rather bizarrely, rejected. Sigh. We spent the rest of the day feeling pretty miserable. In happier news, I turned 17 weeks pregnant on Monday!

I had a whole day to myself on Tuesday as Busby attended the local Toddler group with Nick’s Mum, so I managed to get lots of work done and I almost caught up with my emails! Hurrah!

Busby and I headed into Wakefield on Wednesday. We had a lovely Mummy-Daughter date in the M&S Café and did some shopping. I managed to find lots of maternity bargains in the New Look sale.

I was very excited on Thursday as I had my Midwife Appointment, and got to listen to Peppercorn’s heartbeat. Busby came too and had lots of fun!

After a very exhausting night of Toddler raving (she was awake for 3 hours, which involved a fair amount of snot, a small amount of vomit, and a few repetitions of her favourite book at the moment – Paddington), I was feeling a bit sleepy on Friday. We headed into Wakefield after lunch and ran a few errands.

House hunting continued on Saturday. We took Busby on a second viewing to see what she thought about one of the houses we liked, and then Nick and I continued looking in the afternoon. We may have found another one we like, but we’re trying not to get too excited after what happened earlier in the week. (It turns out the East Yorkshire housing market isn’t as slow as we first thought…)

1. Busby is completely obsessed with tractors! (Sunday) // 2. On the tractor ride (Sunday) // 3. 17 weeks pregnant! (Monday) // 4. Giggles and tickles (Monday) // 5. Enthralled by “My Pet and Me” (Wednesday) // 6. I let my attention wane for 2 minutes and found her like this! (Wednesday) // 7. My MAMA ACADEMY pack arrived to hold my notes (Thursday) // 8. Writing questions for the Midwife (Thursday) // 9. Up early to start house hunting (Saturday)

What have you been up to this week?

Huge apologies – my badge has been very awkward the last few weeks – it is under construction for now, as the template keeps reformatting the quotation marks in the code (geeky snore) Please let me know on Twitter if you’d like me to email the badge through to you… It seems to be working on Blogger blogs fine – it’s just WordPress!

Almost half way! Boo to the house, but things happen for a reason, perhaps its roof will blow off soon after the new people move in or something horrific!

So sorry to hear the the house fell through. Househunting is such stressful business! Good luck for the next attempt!
PS - I’m on WordPress and have found that re-typing the quotation marks in the code for your badge seems to make it work. Don’t know why though!
