Hallo! Welcome to The Week That Was: Captured! Have you had a lovely week?
The rules for #TWTWC are simple; link up one post about your week! It can be photographed, Instagrammed, written, videoed… basically in any format you wish! This linky is about capturing memories and I treat it a bit like an online diary. Please only link up relevant posts. Also, if you fancy commenting on other people’s posts that would be super too – everyone loves a comment!
Last week
I really enjoyed reading Lauren’s (The Real Housewife of Suffolk County) post last week; she sounded so happy and proud of her boys, and it was a total joy to read!
I couldn’t not mention BlopMamma’s (23 week socks) post from last week as it had me in tears (and it wasn’t just the pregnancy hormones). BlopMamma writes in such a heartfelt manner, and it was the kind of post that had to be written, however difficult it may be to read, as the taboo of infant death is still so prevalent.
Onto something a little different now – I really enjoyed reading Lisa’s (Post Script Writing) post last week about sleep deprivation. I completely sympathised with her as I have been suffering on and off with pregnancy insomnia over the past few weeks, and like Lisa, am horrific on no sleep!
Our week
This week has rushed by in a blur! I’m quite thankful for that as we’ve got an exciting couple of weeks planned ahead, and this one has felt very limboesque; waiting for the fun to begin!
Nick, Busby and I went out for lunch to my favourite local place – Blackerhall Farm – on Sunday. We enjoyed yummy food together (the victoria sponge was especially good) and then spent a small fortune in the farm shop on tasty cheese and meatballs!
We put an offer on a house on Monday and after a little bartering it was accepted! Hurrah! It was a tense day; waiting to hear whether the lady would take our offer… We finally heard, and Nick called me mid-nap to tell me the news! Needless to say he got a rather dazed response from me…!
I suffered from one of my “hiding under the duvet” days on Tuesday – I got a fair amount of work done though, amongst the crying. I blame the pregnancy insomnia for that…
Wednesday was more spritely, and Nick had the day off work so we could sort out the mortgage and solicitors. We spent the afternoon in the garden building a snowman with Busby, which was wonderful.
Busby and I visited Blackerhall Farm again on Thursday with Nick’s parents. We had lunch (again) and bought some essentials (more meatballs and cheese). I had an epic 2.5 hour nap in the afternoon
We had a lovely day on Friday; Busby and I did some baking and made some tasty cupcakes, and then spent the afternoon snuggled in bed while she napped and Peppercorn kicked away.
It was a relief not to be out house hunting again this Saturday; the three of us had a lazy morning snuggled in bed watching CBeebies. The afternoon was spent catching up with blog stuff before Busby and I go away next week to visit family in Sussex… and finally getting around to the dreaded tax return I’ve been putting off for a while.
What have you been up to this week?
Hannah
Huge apologies – my badge has been very awkward the last few weeks – it is under construction for now, as the template keeps reformatting the quotation marks in the code from straight to curly (geeky snore) Please let me know on Twitter if you’d like me to email the badge through to you…!
