Peppercorn has been kicking and squirming around like a mad thing this week – his favourite time of day seems to be 11pm… just as I’ve finished reading, turned off the light and have got comfortable! As with Busby, I understand that this is a sign of things to come, so I’m definitely going to look into side-baskets so I can just slide him across for a cuddle and a feed when the inevitable just-about-to-snooze-WAAAAH strikes!
Thursday night was a special one; Nick was feeling utterly exhausted from a long and busy day, and I was feeling pretty shattered too (at one point I almost fell asleep on the floor outside the bathroom while Busby was having bath time with Daddy!) so we were both a bit grumpy, fed up and desperate for the weekend to be here so he didn’t have to drive anywhere. Then, as we were lying in bed, Peppercorn started kicking. His kicks have been getting progressively stronger this week, and I thought that Nick might be able to feel him move, so I grabbed his hand and put it on my belly: “Hello Baby!” said Nick with great delight and surprise, and Peppercorn continued a merry dance for Daddy for the next few minutes, rolling and kicking away.
I was 22 weeks pregnant with Busby when Nick felt her move for the first time, so we’re a little bit earlier this time round (I’m currently 21.5 weeks). I love this part of pregnancy, as it really starts to make everything feel real for both parties, and the excitement will just continue to build from now until he arrives! I still can’t believe we’re having another child; I feel so utterly blessed!

Aww thank you so much for your lovely comment 🙂 xx
Aww! How sweet! Such a lovely moment!
Feeling my girls kick was the best part of pregnancy x
Ohhh how wonderful. I loved feeling those kicks so much although it was constant throughout the day! If he did kick me at night I slept through it! He too is the same now, the most active, wriggly, jiggly child ever!! #magicmoments
Hannah I’m so pleased it is all working out for you and the pregnancy is going well. It is indeed an exciting stage when you can feel the kicks from outside in. #MagicMoments
I remember this feeling SO well! Grace used to start kicking around 8.30pm and not let up for two hours sometimes! It sounds like you are really getting on well 🙂 Thanks for linking to #PoCoLo x
